MY FIRST MAINSTAGETo give you some context: this journey started just over 40 weeks ago. The objective: Create a new mainstage for Komm schon Alter. Build an iconic stage and keep in mind: minimizing the line of sight through the structure. Designing for the vast, green landscape of Tuinen van West taught us a valuable lesson: a venue like this needs bold, colorful installations that truly make impact.
The core concept
Conceptually, the direction was clear from the start. The design draws heavy inspiration from the aesthetics and geometry of a solar farm. Our goal was to create a monumental, iconic centerpiece that grabs imediate attention the moment you step onto the festival grounds.
A structure that absorbs and reflects sunlight by day, to release that energy by a dynamic light show at night.
